Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base Nude Radiance
I can’t say how happy I am that Burberry Beauty finally became available at Sephora. Burberry is maybe my most beloved high end brand. Its products have an amazing quality and the packaging is simply to die for: its design is extremely classy and understated yet so luxurious.
I alreaty tried some products from Burberry‘s range: Burberry Velvet foundation, Burberry Lip Velvet in 308 Pink Azalea, Burberry Kisses 109 Military Red and Sheer Eyeshadow in Mulberry.
Today I want to talk about Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base in Nude Radiance*.
At first sight I thought it was a traditional liquid highlighter but I was wrong: it is a more complex product indeed. In fact, it is described as a luminous fluid base. It appears like a very pale translucent pink, not really shimmery but it has more of a pearlescent sheen to it. It is conceived as a multi-purpose product: a liquid luminizer that can be used on its own as a all-over product, mixed with your foundation/tinted moisturizer or whatever, used as a luminous primer or as highlighter on top of foundation. The first and the last uses are the least attractive for me. Used on its own as a all over is way too luminous for my skin and even if I like that glowing and dewy finish there is too much radiance all over my face. As a traditional liquid highlighter is very subtle and elegant: you certainly avoid that disco-ball effect. Though, it can’t be used over powdery products – because it gets patchy and messy – and it has to be patted careful with a brush: if you use your fingers it can swipe off the foundation underneath. But I really like its subtle touch of radiance added to your base.
Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base becomes a ‘miraculous’ product when used as a luminous primer or mixed with a foundation or tinted moisturizer. As a base it helps the foundation to adhere better to your skin and it gives you an unbelievable, amazing natural glow that looks completely natural. It is even more lovely when mixed up with a foundation: it is just like you are radiant and youthful from within; it makes you look flawless and I’d dare to say more relaxed and even cheerful. A real treatment against dull and tired skin, it will make people ask if you changed your skincare routine. Due to its light-reflecting power, it also reduces the appearance of little imperfections with a blurring effect.
Being a luxury product, Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base is really pricey – around €45 – but with a Sephora discount code it becomes a little more affordable.
It is also available in Golden Radiance colour, perfect for all those medium-dark skintones or for a bronzing effect.
